Itamae

May 21, 2013

I was requested by Daily Sushi to submit a drawing to their amazing collection of sushi inspired illustrations, so of course I couldn’t resist! With some inspiration from photos and experiences I had when visiting Japan a few years ago, I ended up focusing on the sushi chef (Itamae in Japanese) and some of the tools and ingredients used for sushi. Here’s the final drawing for Itamae, and you can also grab a printed version off Society6 (they have free shipping right now).

Spring drawings

April 6, 2013

I have a few new drawings posted up, they were created for the Land Gallery show at the end of last year, but I finally have them ready for my site so everyone can enjoy them! You’ll find Sea Urchin, Totem, and Scout on the main gallery page, enjoy them as always!

Phobos

March 6, 2013

I was invited to draw a robot as part of the Robot Envy series, my entry is named “Phobos”. There are so many amazing robot artworks featured on their site, I’m glad I could be a part of it.

Hungry & Foolish

February 5, 2013

A little helpful reminder to always stay hungry and foolish, inspired by the quote from Steve Jobs.

Tinnitus

January 21, 2013

I’ve been wanting a nice subtle desktop for a while and I’ve ended up with one I quite liked a lot. Nothing says quiet and subtle tranquility like the deep depths of the ocean, and there’s lots of friends to be found there as well. Check out the definition of “tinnitus” if you want a hint at the little gem (and the depth of my cheesy titling) hiding among the residents of the high pressure race to the bottom.

Happy Camper

January 10, 2013

There’s nothing quite like a quiet breakfast with your friends around a campfire. Inspired by a true life story.

As you may also notice, I’ve updated the site to be a lot more simple and clean. It’s also retina friendly and there’s a new layout for visiting on your mobile device too (mostly optimized for iPhone). I’ve also added a new product in the shop that will let you download all wallpapers at once in a zip file that I’ll keep updated with each new release. So that’s about 60 drawings in formats for Desktops, iPads and iPhone layouts for $8 :D

Lost in Thought

January 6, 2013

Some deep thoughts to bring warmth down in the cold blue.

Studio Ghibli Icons

October 16, 2012

It’s probably pretty obvious that I love animation but some of my favorites as I’ve been growing up have always been the works of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki. To have some fun and celebrate all their wonderful influence and my admiration, I’ve made some desktop icons and wallpapers based on characters and objects from the various movies. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed the movies and if you have seen the movies, go watch them now! Really, go now!
