I’ve been wanting a nice subtle desktop for a while and I’ve ended up with one I quite liked a lot. Nothing says quiet and subtle tranquility like the deep depths of the ocean, and there’s lots of friends to be found there as well. Check out the definition of “tinnitus” if you want a hint at the little gem (and the depth of my cheesy titling) hiding among the residents of the high pressure race to the bottom.
Between brainstorming and projects and my daily doodling time, my sketchbook and computer are full of sketches that very few people would ever see. If you’re interested in getting a peek at them, I’ve started a sketches tumblr that will be updated daily-ish with new sketches and old buried gems that I dig out of folders and sketchbooks of old. Drop on by if you’re a fan of line work!
There’s nothing quite like a quiet breakfast with your friends around a campfire. Inspired by a true life story.
As you may also notice, I’ve updated the site to be a lot more simple and clean. It’s also retina friendly and there’s a new layout for visiting on your mobile device too (mostly optimized for iPhone). I’ve also added a new product in the shop that will let you download all wallpapers at once in a zip file that I’ll keep updated with each new release. So that’s about 60 drawings in formats for Desktops, iPads and iPhone layouts for $8 :D
Some deep thoughts to bring warmth down in the cold blue.
As you’ve probably noticed from my drawings, I *love* animation. I’ve always dabbled in it, but never tried it seriously. Well, I’ve jumped in the deep end and I’ve been hard at work the last few years on my own game at Impending. I’m super happy to announce Hatch! It’s scheduled for this spring but you can early adopt a fugu egg with some exclusive colors before it launches.
Twitterrific 5 has been released! Nearly everything has been rethought and refocused on simply reading your tweets as well as making things easier and more fluid overall, while still being Twitterrific at the core. Even Ollie, our bluebird mascot has been refined. I hope you enjoy it!
It’s probably pretty obvious that I love animation but some of my favorites as I’ve been growing up have always been the works of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki. To have some fun and celebrate all their wonderful influence and my admiration, I’ve made some desktop icons and wallpapers based on characters and objects from the various movies. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed the movies and if you have seen the movies, go watch them now! Really, go now!
I had a fantastic time at the opening night of my show at Land Gallery in Portland, and now all the new drawings I created for the Land Gallery show are available as prints in various sizes (but the large format prints are the most awesome!).
Here are some photos from the opening as well, thanks to everyone that was able to come out!
